April 30, 2008

Dear Members,

I wanted to thank all those who made our annual banquet a success and an enjoyable time.
Congratulations again to P. Dennis Connelly awarded the Hibernian of the Year for 2008.
Special thanks to Hugh Williams, Secretary for the Society, Dorsey Baldwin and to all the
advertisers and table captains.

I am happy to report that plans are already underway for 2009 banquet. One important
facet of the dinner is program ad sales. I am pleased to announce that Dorsey Baldwin will
be serving as our Program Advertising Chairman.  Dorsey and his committee will be calling
members in the near future. Dorsey did an outstanding job with ad sales this past banquet
and the Society is grateful for his efforts.

On Saturday June 14, 2008 the Hibernian society will be hosting a special tour of the Irish
Shrine and Railroad Workers Museum on 920 Lemmon Street. The tour will begin at 10:
30 A.M. All family members and friends are encouraged to attend. This should be a great
day to learn more of our Irish heritage in Baltimore. Thanks to Bill Byrnes for making these
arrangements.

With sadness I inform you of the passing of James”Jim”Curran, Jr.  Jim was an active
member of the Hibernians and rarely missed walking in the St. Patrick’s Day parade. On
behalf of the Society I extend to the Curran family our prayers and sympathies.

If you have not had the opportunity to pay your dues please do so to keep your
membership current. Your input and dues are vitally important.

As president, I welcome your thoughts and or comments,(410)-667-4575 or
pdyer@mycomcast.com.  I encourage everyone to get involved. Our next quarterly
meeting will be Tuesday June 10, 2008 6:00 PM An Poitin Stil Restaurant. Hope to see
you there.

Thank you,

Patrick V. Dyer
President
